this is my dad and 2 of his 8 brothers. it is a sad picture in a way. during the depression, my grandfather had to leave oregon to look for work, leaving my grandmother alone with several children. the state removed my father, these 2 brothers and an infant sister, from my grandmother's care.(a common practice at the time)the baby was adopted out to a minister and his wife and never returned to the family.
