| About this scrapbook page: |
For a couple of months at the beginning of each year baby turtles hatch on Hedland Beaches and begin a perilous life. We did help one baby that got stuck in some rocks. If they make it back to this beach to breed they will be over a metre long and big enough to tow a person along. I have been told that the one in my hands has been named Harriet by Miss Pipper.
