About this scrapbook page: |
This is my mom piecing a quilt block with a hand-held needle and thread, and these are some of the more than 30 of her quilts that still exist. The oldest one here is the Umbrella Girl at the top. She appliqued the blocks for it in 1935. She would have been 97 on the day I posted this. I hope you enjoy looking at them and that you will go to the Quilt Squares and Quilts Challenges and vote for my entry. Thanks.
