About this scrapbook page: |
Done for the Button ch. Dawn said to use our imagination so I hope this is ok. We didn't have many toys when we were young so we had to make our own and this game of buttons is one of them, Before clothes were given to the ragman buttons were removed for reusing so every house had a button tin. the aim of the game is that with one lick of the thumb we had to see how many buttons we could pick up one at a time and drop them in the eggcup, I still play this game with my granddchildren and they love it.

Backgound off net.the string of buttons are from a kit I can't remember the name of, I will have to start and write things down. It really needs enlarging. there's not enough room above but I just wanted to say that we had never heard the word hygene,no antibacterial wipes and sprays for us we just had very strong immune system.

As Pauline says great nostalgia. I still have a button tin all the family come to when they lose a button. I used to let the grandkids play with them when they were little - they concocted all sorts of games with them. Fabulous photos and page.

great page and love the story behind it. My mom also had a button tin which provided endless hours of entertainment on rainy days.
