I've enjoyed looking at the pages & stories about how some of you got your names so I thought I'd tell the story behind my name too. My birth mother named me Avril Joy but then I was adopted when I was 18mths old. My parents were very religious hence the name Mary & also strong royalists. My Father was English & my Mother Welsh. They adopted my in 1953 the year of Queen Elizabeth's coronation hence my names Mary Elizabeth
