I also learned embossing. Dont know if it`s the right way but for me it works. I make a page in PSE8 and save it in a file. Than I embossed it and save that too. Than I blend the 2 pages together in paintnet. The embossed one under and the clear one as a upper layer. What I like in this method is that you can have parts embossed and parts not
