Jurga Ivanauskaite (1961 Vilnius, Lithuania-2007Vilnius)is unique figure in the contemporary literature of the Baltic States.
She was a prose writer, essayist, playwriter, painter and poet.
In 1994 she took her first trip to India and studied Buddhism, gaining impetus to start a new page in her literary work.
Jurga became an active supporter of the Tibet liberation movement.
She died from the tissue sarcoma at the age of 45.
Last night I have closed her last book.
