About this scrapbook page: |
I am continuing in creating pages for my scrapbook which will eventually be a keepsake for my grandchildren. This is a photo of my dad and I in Belgium, in the late 40's. I had on a coat, pants and hat, all made out of fur. We lived in the row housing that you see to the right . The man in the distance is standing in front of our 2 storey unit.My dad at that time worked in the coal mines there.

tree and shrubbery off of the net as is the frame from a framing catalogue . Rest was created in PSCS2. The photo itself was in quite poor shape and I wanted it as sharp and as clean as possible. I have entered this page in the Girls:18-25 months CHALLENGE. Thank you for your visit, kind comments and support!

Sorry to be curious but my husband and I we lived near coal mines in Belgium. My husband in Farciennes and myself in Trazegnies. Now we live not far from the forests and we don't regret the special life near coal. Coal was present, everywhere. This "province" has too fast changed. Impossible to recognize something and... somebody. A area without soul. It's not a question of nostalgy.

Birds sang the whole night. Why? I do not know. They perhaps wanted to sing for fun. We rarely act the same way. We must always have a reason to do something "useless". The pursuit of pleasure is itself a pleasure. When we found, the fun disappears. Our brain has finished its song. When I go in your gallery, I find my pleasure to look at images that I like. It's my way of singing. Thanks to You.

Some fell into a cauldron of magic potion when they were young.I slipped in a cup of coffee. When I go in your gallery,I can find the best espresso.Sometimes, your images have the sweetness of a delicious Brazilian coffee.Sometimes your pages would shake an oak that would have been watered with an ultra-strong coffee. But your gallery is impregnated with a perfumed odor that invites us to come back.
