In 2004 my brother and I did a 3 week 'trek' down south of Southern Africa. This was the furthest south we could go - Cape Point, where the 2 oceans meet. The protea is our national flower, one of the oldest in the world, dating back 300 million years and named after Proteus, son of Poseidon. MADE FOR THE TREKKIN CHALLENGE BY CRAZYONSCRAP.
