I made these photos on a recent visit to the American Museum of Natural History. This is a live exhibit where the only thing between you and the butterflies is the air. The butterflies are very friendly and will often light on visitors' clothing.

beautiful photos and wonderful page. i got so fascinated with those butterflies the 3 or 4 times i went to a butterfly farm/garden that i forgot to take photos as was my intention. :)
