Help Stop Child Abuse
Cases of abused children hit many of us the hard way, especially where the child is victimized by his/her own parents. It rocks us to the core; almost all species live to produce and protect its offsprings, how can human beings violate this basic natural law? The scraps about abused children help build awareness but they leave many of us feeling just sad,angry and helpless. Let's try to do something more than just scrap children who died, let's make scraps that are more informative and educational, scraps that guide people who want to help. This challenge is for everyone but especially for those in the medical and health, law and order, education or any field involved in the care of children, please join this challenge and share your expert opinion on how we can help.
Challenge Requirements:
Just do your best to help meet the objective, strictly speaking, there are no rules. I can only make some SUGGESTIONS, I'm sure you can think of other ways:
1) Scraps that teach people to detect child abuse - what are the different forms of abuse? What are tell-tale signs that a child is being abused?
2) Scraps with STOP CHILD ABUSE symbols (you can even make your own - I saw a scrap by momykitty with a powerful symbol) with THE PHONE NUMBERS of who to call or report to in your area.
3) Scraps that give tips and suggestions on how to prevent child abuse.
Maybe we can post these scraps in other websites, distribute print-outs in our neighborhood, churches, schools, etc.
