About this scrapbook page:
Another typical Dutch Sailingship, mostly seen at the IJsselmeer and the Friese lakes. The tjalk is a little longer than a skutsje. Some also went on the Northsea to Scandinavia and the Baltics. A lot of these ships have now transformed to recreation ships, but there are still a few been used for cargo, but now they use engines and no longer sails
