I came across this picture of my husband and our great granddaughter Madison! Who looks happier? It took Maddie a long time to get brave enough to approach my husband. Not that he's scary, but his voice tends to be very deep and I'm sure intimidating to a little girl.

They both have the most amazingly intense eyes, don't they? I love the photo, and indeed the journalling. How much more beautiful is the relationship as she learned to overcome her shyness of Grandpa. Priceless. So nice to see you posting a page. I often miss you and hope that you are well.
