Pretty much in the middle there is a large walk in aviry. The plaquard at the front shows you some of the parrots and as it says "Birds can Bite!". The walk ramp is about 3m off the ground and there is a large ball shaped cage inside with some of the larger parrots in it. Most parrots in the walk area are medium to small birds.

And seriously, I would LOVE to see an emu for real!Wish I could have shared the experience in the flesh, but I suppose this was the next best thing. I think this is really sad...after the Couper Ancestors decimated all the trees in Western Australia the poor budgies had nowhere to hide and eventually got eaten by the local birds of prey. So now they have to keep pictures of all the extinct species on cages to remind people of what they used to look like! The only one left is well enclosed cos he's very lonely and no emu is safe from him!
