My neice had an emergency C-Section yesterday and Kamarrah was born 9 weeks 1 day early. Kamarrah was not breathing at birth but they were able to revive her. I just got a call from my Dad that she is bleeding from her lungs. PLEASE pray! She has a blood clotting disorder (as does her mother and sister) and has had to have blood thinners and a transfusion already. If you look at the first picture you can see bruising on her left leg and both feet.

Kamarrah is doing Amazingly well and I am sure it is due to everyone's prayers!!! She has been breathing completely on her own for the last 21 hours with no help at all! She is in a regular crib now and has been moved out of the critical care section of the NICU! She is drinking 9 oz. of milk per day and growing fast : ) If all continues as is she should be able to go home in 2-3 weeks!

Kammarah is doing MUCH BETTER! She is getting taken off the C-Pap machine and will just have the nasal canula... pretty much means she is breathing all on her own. Tests show that she has an opening in her heart, but hopefully medicine will take care of it. They don't want to have to operate because she still has a lot of blood clots.

Continued from Above... Her big sister, Azzaryah was put in the hospital with a virus last night and is very dehydrated. (She is 14 months old and weighs 15 lbs... she was 3 months early and has a trache and feeding tube.)

GREAT NEWS! Kami is doing MUCH better : ) Thanks to ALL your prayers! Testing has shown that she DOES NOT have the blood disorder that they thought was causing all her problems, and they are now unsure of wheather she has a brain bleed or fluid build up. Please continue to pray, they will be doing an MRI on Monday as well as other tests to see exactly what is going on with her.

Kamarrah is doing a little better today. She is in "guarded" condition. The biggest problem right now is still the brain bleed. Please continue your prayers, I'm sure that is what is keeping sweet Kami here with us! Kami's Mama came and read all your sweet notes this morning and wants me to tell you all "thank you so much for the prayers for our precious baby!". Thanks again!!!

Update continued from below... : can get the brain bleed stopped there is a medication they can give her that will solve most or all of the blood problems! So please pray that the bleeding would stop! Also, her kidneys seem to be doing a little better... she is no longer passing blood in her urine. Thanks again for all the prayers and concern for little Kamarrah!

UPDATE: 12:30 am Kami is still critical, but I think all the prayers are making all the difference! She still has a brain bleed, and has several blood clots including one in the brain also. On the bright side she is breathing much better and the bleeding in the lungs seems to have subsided. UPDATE: 2:57 pm Wednesday...She is now only receiving 30% oxygen, so that is encouraging. But, she now has some major kidney problems and a rather large brain bleed. They want to transfer her to a larger hospital but she is not stable enough at this time to do that. I really feel all the prayers being said for Kamarrah is what has brought her through so far, so PLEASE keep praying!

I could not help but cry over this. My son called me a week ago and said there was complications with my new born grandaughter. I was so scared and was going up to check on her. I shall definitely keep Kamarrah and your family in my prayers. I had a preemie who was 14 weeks early and weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. and spent 4 months in NICU. That was 19 years ago and she's great now (the subject of most of my scrapbooks). I know medicine has come much further even since then ... but prayers are ALWAYS the first order of the day.
