About this scrapbook page: |
Atalaya at Huntington State Park in Murrells Inlet, SC, was built by philanthropist Archer Huntington for his wife Anna Hyatt the sculptress in the 1920s I think. They left the land, some 9000 acres, in a conservancy to the State of SC. Brookgreen Gardens, now a National Historic Site, is a beautiful legacy to future generations. When the wisteria blooms it's like being in another, more peaceful world.
