i did this page for the my hometown challenge. i choose to do about the pier as it is the towns historical icon. its has had so much happen to it over the years but it is still standing and people love coming to southend to take a walk on it. if you like this page please vote

It's the closest beach to me. take the kids there sometimes. the pier has been through such a lot. Great page!
