Tapai is a Rice Wine , similar to Sake wine. HOMEMade wine by the Kadazans, one of the natives of Malaysia.
On my wedding night, Groom and Bride will drink tapai from tajau (clay pots) as seen in the picture.

It's a very unique page and very beautiful! I love the beads too! The Iban of Sarawak call their rice-wine "Tuak". I tested it during my visit to the Skrang River's Iban Longhouse few years back.
