These photos were from a couple of nights ago just before the expected cyclone Vaianu hit NZ.
The evening sky was so beautiful. The calm before the storm. We now have heavy rain and wind sliding down the country. The river at the bottom of our property has now burst it's banks. Luckily our house is well above the rest of the property.

We had a similar display down here Mary - beautiful skies. Gorgeous photos and page. So far we are having a lot of rain but not heavy and the wind is just starting to blow. I don't think we will have it anything like you people up North - stay safe.
