I have had this poem for sometime now. I recieved it in an email, I have absolutely no idea who wrote it, but it's stuck with me ever since. I feel very strongly about speaking out against child abuse. No child deserves to be hurt like this. I have entered this into the speak out challenge, if you feel so inclined you can vote for me, but that's not why I posted this. Check out the other pages in this challenge, they send great messages. Just be aware of what's going on around you. Save the children.

I speak as a victim (survivor) of child abuse when I say thank you for the courage to tackle such a horrible issue that plagues this world! Children are innocent and don't deserve to be treated to such a hellish existence. I survived but will always carry the scars. Thank you for caring!

Way to go Manders....Love this, I too received it in an e-mail, breaks your heart. I have nothing but contempt for child abusers comes from long hours working with the police department regarding this. Hurts my heart to think anyone could mistreat a poor defenseless child. This one is going into my favs! You did a beautiful job and if I could vote more than a 10 you'd get 100. Have to agree with hallibean, there is nothing so bad in anyones life that it should be taken out on a child.
