About this scrapbook page:
I made this for a camping recipe book that I am making with family/friend's recipes, photos and hopefully some good stories. This is my husband when he was a scout in the 60s. I love this photo of him. He looks so proud to be a scout and he grew up to be one of the most trustworthy and loyal people I know. I guess he really took that oath to heart. The scout oath I scanned from his father's old scout handbook from the 30s. This recipe has always been a favorite of our family.

Excellent page. I love to camp and our favorite was to fix chicken and rice in a dutch oven in the coals. Love this layout and congrats on the cookbook you are making.:}

What a wonderful SCOUT pic! I learned to cook in GirlScouts as my Mother preferred I NOT mess in the kitchen at home. I still remember how we washed dishes--bring a BIG pot of water to boil over the campfire. Slip our chow-kit into a red mesh onion bag, suspend by a stick into the boiling water, hang on tree branch to dry. Our hands NEVER touched water. Oooh, if the dishes were that easy now!
