Wanted to share this visitor with you. This huge insect is fairly common in NZ but this is the first time we have had one indoors courtesy of Barry's trousers LOL!!! The bottom photo is the weta on our BBQ wood.
Thought I'd pop it into Mary's sketch challenge. Thanks for visiting.
I'm much better can now walk without a stick - still sore and a long way to go.

I must admit these fellows make me nervous LOL. Not that I would ever kill one but they really are very ugly. I've had a few inside & usually gently remove them & put them back in the bushes outside on the end of a broom. As far away from me as possible. This is a fabulous page showcasing these fellows & love your sketch in the magnifying glass Joce.
