Memories of going as a chaperone with the band, and my son,to Atlantic City as they played in the Miss America Parade. I walked along and was sure to show my shoes to the parade watchers! ( This is something that the onlookers would call out to all the Miss America contestants as they drove by in their cars. Some were very creative depicting their state's important facts.)
