About this scrapbook page: |
Children who have little else other than 'dreams'. Just returned from another trip to Uganda - supposedly the dry season!! Following the worst drought which destroyed their crops.. the rains have arrived and yes the new crops are rotting because of floods!! These people never seem to win... and still they smile

Welcome back, I understand your feelings so well. When we hear from my husbands familymembers in Burkina Faso how they struggle with the drought and still they never complain, but live their lives as it is

How does one describe a page like this done with such love and emotion? Your layout is beautiful and so are the people you work with even under such terrible hardships that we can only see through eyes like yours. Blessings.

Hi Diane, great so see you back. Beautiful page and a wonderful photo. We can learn so much from how they deal with the hardships in their lives. And how grateful we should be for what we do have. It's always a joy to see your pages x

Welcome back. Must have been heart breaking witnessing these people and the trials they have to contend with. That photo is such a happy one and as you say they are always smiling. Thank goodness world governments are discussing ways to help.

Good to see you back Diane and with a very beautiful page but such a heartrending story of the relentless struggle for their survival. As Tracy says, it certainly puts our modest worries into perspective when you hear of such unbelievable hardship. You do amazing work Diane and I admire you greatly, Pauline xx
