About this scrapbook page:
The newspaper in the right says: January 29, 1949 "Britain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand & Switzerland recognize Israel".
In our own family a long lost cousin, who was pick up at street by the germans and send to Germany in 1944 to work for them, came back the same day I was born. He had met an Austrian girl and married her before returning to his family.
