Yes I'm reading this at the moment all 1088 pages of it, might take me a while :) I recently read Ken Follet's Fall of Giants and was determined to read this and the next World Without End - might keep me busy until Christmas. His characterisation is remarkable all are very good reads. Published by Pan Bks. Cover by Erich Lessing.
The BG is Constable's beautiful painting of Salisbury Cathedral. The story is about the building of these magnificent buildings.

You've combined the image with the priory and the book placement perfectly, really eye-catching! I haven't read this, it looks like a great holiday read when one feels justified in being lazy.
