Made this for the First Book challenge ...oh,the memories came flooding back - how I love this book, it is full of wonderful illustrations and was my first simple reading book, must have been about five years old! There were a whole series of these and they captured the essence of the countryside as it was then. Added the poem as it goes so well with this book. Thanks for looking and your lovely comments xx

Your page has taken me back to childhood more for the wonderful rural scene that reminds me of my childhood in South Wales than the Ladybird book. The blend of the scene with the paper is perfect and your foreground additions with the swallow fly past are just gorgeous & and E Thomas poem as well -a special treat thank you xx
