I was looking at vintage pics the other day and came across this one. I asked my youngest son what he thought of the photo..he said they look sad and they're wearing rags, Mum...thanks for looking and any comments,they are really appreciated x

awesome page - Don't worry about the title - Faded memories is just fine for the page - your image is far more realistic of the times than some of the pretty, pretty vintages images of young ones xx

Yes Karen, it is all too easy to forget how brutally hard those times were for the less fortunate, which amounted to a very large number of the population. So very hard for us to imagine from the relative ease and comfort of our own lives. The look on those wee faces is both poignant & harrowing, your layout is superbly scrapped, a strong reminder that the 'good old days' weren't all good xx
