Meet Patrick, so named because he lived to see St. Patrick's Day. Starved for a month, put in a garbage bag, thrown down a 19-story garbage chute and left for dead, Patrick was found just before the dumpster he lay in was to be compacted. He weighs 20 pounds, less than half his ideal body weight. He's now receiving 24 hour care at a nearby specialty hospital and is expected to survive, if not thrive. The person allegedly responsible will be arraigned today. Jail is too good for her.

Cripes! What is wrong with people! How can they do that to such a sweet animal! Shoot, what the heck am I talking about? People kill their own children too. That's sick, but I'm sooooo glad to see sweet Patrick recovering and hopefully have a long and happy life! Beautiful pages for him!

I can`t understand that people can be so cruel. Don`t take a pet if you don`t want to take care of them. Those people are more animal than their victims.

I don't think I could control myself with someone who could perform such unspeakable acts of cruelty on a defenceless creature. Jail is far too good for her. Thank you for maintaining our awareness Carol. It's some comfort to know that he was saved from the truck and is being cared for with good prospects for recovery. He has a beautiful face and I hope he is able to learn to trust again. x

OMG Carol - I can't believe some people can be so cruel but there again maybe I can as Ive seen Animal Rescue on TV and animal abuse is more wide spread than we think. Im sure Patrick will get all the love and care he needs and I just hope he gets well enough to find a new loving home - Thank you for bringing this to out attention xx
