Introducing Bradley, our latest return adoptee (at the vet, not the shelter). *sigh* He was adopted out in 1999, was diagnosed with diabetes 3 days ago, and was returned yesterday after the family decided they couldn't cope with it. Personally, I think it was the husband; the wife was a puddle on the floor giving him up, and he kept saying "what's taking so long?" Poor Brad is terrified, not understanding why he's been ripped out of his home of the past 12 years.

After Joce and Yvonne's comments, I need to say that this boy will live out his days with us. I can't imagine that anyone will want to adopt him, and, in fact, we won't make him available. I just hope he can adapt. Some do, some don't.

That stinks! I had a cat with diabetes...the shots aren't that bad. What a bad husband to make his wife give up their cat. Poor guy...he looks like a little old lion!

Poor Bradley, he's brought a tear to my eye. I love cats & my family loves them too, we would never be able to surrender a family member like that, especially if they needed some extra TLC because of illness. I hope he settles & is able to enjoy the rest of his life. I know you will look after him.
