Shirley Mason was born Leonie Flugrath in 1900 (Brooklyn).The youngest of three acting sisters: the others were Viola Mason and Edna Flugrath - the only one to use her real name professionally.Shirley made her debut in 1911's AT THE THRESHOLD OF LIFE at the age of 11.As a child actress,Shirley wasn't in much demand until she grew older.Then she began to take on more roles.Her second film was in VANITY FAIR in 1915.It wasn't until 1917 that the film executives began to take the young actress more
