Another one of the poems written for the Art and Poetry book. This isn't the painting my sister-in-law did; I haven't seen her painting, she just told me to do a poem for an old barn. This is the image I saw and wrote the poem for.

Brilliant poem. I love the way you have contrasted the thoughts of youth versus the thoughts of those who are older. I love the line 'warming your weathered boards' - brilliantly evokes ageing and the love of warmth on tired old limbs. Just stunning page and fantastic poem. You are gifted, Oakie.
