I don't find it surreal, rather it puts me in mind of the pre-raphaelites in layout - which is beautiful and soft, but haunting with the shadows. It is beautifully rendered and your use of light and the swirling of leaves is like memories sort of flittering away. The bear on the chair adds to the sense of melancholy and reflection. Excellent page.
