Saw a program on tv last week about child prostitution in Asia. There is a dutchman who is trying to get children out of that situation with help from human aid associations here in the Netherlands and bring them to a place where they are protected and get a chance to learn a good profession.
I found this picture of a mother selling her little daughter to a sextourist in a report about child trafficking made by a Dutch journalist

It's a real tragedy this trade in children, you've drawn attention to other about this horrendous situation, by making a page like this. Good on you, you're to be commended for it. The shame of it is, not nearly enough is ever done about it.

the philippines is a hunting ground for pedophiles. sadly, they are hardly caught. some mothers do sacrifice a child for the sake of other children and hoping that the child will be taken good care of by her/his abuser and thus will be in a better position than starving. some pedophiles, i read, think they're actually helping. it's sick!

I think this is brilliant social commentary and well worthy of a scrap page-ppl in the west have no idea of the poverty in thirld world countries and the extent to which this poverty can all too easily be exploited in many evil ways. Well done you for making this something we can all reflect on.
