WOW Frances....such a unique page!! i love how ellie seems to be floated above the leaves...very clever blending i must say!! and what a big 'ol giggle she has on the bottom pic :)...reaching to frolic with the frogs perhaps!! of course, your composition is just perfect...such a balanced page...and love the way you have arranged your papers....so interesting...great texture too!! wdmf :)

I also think it is so cleverly artistic to start the red tonings with Ellie in the frame and move them down the page (or up, wherever you started) because then the eye is drawn to the flowers and the child and the joy that can be autumn. Just uplifting, which I need tonight.

I love the papers you have used and the textures you have created on the whole page. Ellie in the top photo looks like she is really contemplating something. Her eyes are extraordinarily expressive. And her delight in the second is so very obvious - and isn't it a joy when you see them so openly expressive of their joy (we tend to lose that as we get older and more self conscious).

It really is important to enlarge to appreciate the intracies of your pages. I have to say the frogs, mice and bird are just the most delightful little creatures I have seen in a long time. No wonder Ellie is laughing at the two little ones dancing their jig. And the little flowers and string of tiny butterflies are such a wonderful addition.
