For my baby sister, Grace (grammiegrace), whose birthday is tomorrow, August 28th. Holly Hobbie's "Toot and Puddle" wanted to join in the celebration. They know Grace has been going through a rough time and wanted to cheer her up. Happy Birthday, Grace. I love you.

Holly Hobbie went from illustrating books about sunbonneted girls, to illustrating stories of these pigs, Toot & Puddle, a number of years ago when her oldest daughter developed cancer. She did this as therapy to help both of them through a difficult time. I always found the characters charming. But they became even more so once I heard the story behind their creation.
