At Miranda's 8th bday party, I was feeling like an inadequate mom because it had to be at her dad's house because my townhouse was too small for a sleep-over. With the kids all snuggled in their sleeping bags, Miranda left her friends for a moment to come lay with me and thanked me for organizing such a fabulous party for her. I must be doing something right!

Oh Kate ... This is so tender and moving. I love the artistic side of your page. And I love the story behind it. I think you are doing a LOT of things right as a mother! Not every child would do what Miranda did; they would just take all the hard work for granted. It's so touching to hear the love that shines through your words.
