Kate, this is such a beautiful, expressive piece of art. Even though the subject matter is one of melancholy, it still conveys beautiful things when it comes to the love that a mother has for her child. I love the fact that you used this deep rich shade of blue. I hope Maria will not have too many sad times in her life.
