I always found it difficult to be happy. Yes, there would be times when laughter came easily, but these times could be measured in minutes. I loved being alone so I didn't have to fake smiles. I thought this was normal until a few years ago, luckily my doctor recognized the signs of depession. Now happiness can be measured in days and the old sadness measured in seconds. Looking back on all those years, it's scary how often I thought life was unbearable and I wondered about beckoning the reaper.

Depression is such an overwhelming thing to live through. The depths of it cannot be fathomed. I'm so thankful you received help for your own life and that you are no longer living with those horrible feelings every day. The pictures on your page reflect both the happy and the sad times.
