Albert Carter (my great-great uncle) was in WW1 in 1917. Words are from a Matt Costa song that I thought fit for his situation leaving home for war.
I must say this is my favourite page that I have made so far.

This is a marvelously evocative page. I think the words are perfect - so many did go because, well they felt they just had to. Mind, I have no idea who Mat Costa is but I know a bit about History. Fantastic layout in keeping with the time period.
