This is my best friend. We have known each other for 40 years now. We met when our then partners went into the Army. We have now each been married for over 35 years and have been through numerous trials and hurdles in our lives and have always been there for each other. I cant express how important friends are. This is lovely. It made me quite nostalgic. I have a life-long friend named Betty, back in Manchester, and we have known each other since we were babies growing up in the same street. We have kept contact all through our lives but she is not very good at letter-writing, whereas I would be happy to write to her every week.
