The past couple days I've spent a lot of time on the internet trying to do some research into my mother's father side of the family. Today I found a tumbstone with the inscription on it that I put on this page. I thought it fitting since this past Saturday was the 3 year anniversary of mom's passing. If you have lost your mother than you understand the pain in each of my brothers and sisters heart. Thanks for looking.

Yes we who have lost our moms know exactly how ya'll feel. I'm glad the Bible says that we do not sorrow as those who have no hope because one day we will see our beloved mothers again!! Great memorial page!!

When I look at this page I think of the day that photo was taken, those are good memories. And that graveyard behind mom mom's house always did intrigue me, I'm glad you've been discovering things about our ancestors, it's so interesting. It's still a jolt to see mom's name on a tombstone with the dates filled in.

Beautiful and heartwrenching page, Betty. This picture of Mom was taken in Blowing Rock. She was wearing my sweater. The inscription on the tombstone is such a true reflection of how it feels when you bury a loved one. Yet, in reality, we know that we always have our mother ... she is just in a place where we can't currently see her with our eyes.
