this is the last picture taken of me and my mom before she passed away. This was taken around Thanksgiving of 2005, my sister Frances was down and had decorated mom's house for Christmas. This past Saturday (March 14) was 3 years since mom went home to Heaven. I've made several pages of mom from pictures taken while she was healthy this is the first page I've done of a picture taken during her illness.
This page is in the mother/daughter challenge.

On March 14, I was remembering my grandmother as she would have been turning 71 this year if she were still here but she too past away around Christmas time a few years ago. Beautiful page & such a wonderful person to remember.

Grace this page affected me just like Frances described. It's hard to look at it without crying. Something about the look on mom's face...she looks so vulnerable and weak. I'm so glad Frances made the fuss over Christmas that year so that mom's last Christmas was well celebrated even though we didn't know it'd be the last one.

Grace, it's actually a little bit hard for me to look at this picture as I feel like I am going to burst into a flood of tears. At the same time, I think the picture is precious and so very, very dear. It's just hard seeing Mom looking like this and remembering how difficult her last few years were. I know this wasn't an easy page for you to make. I love you, Sis.
