About this scrapbook page:
My mom. This is a picture that might have been a cast aside. the lighting was not so great on it. But I duplicated the layer and did a linear dodge on the bottom layer to brighten it up, and blending the top layer until the coloring was just right. There was nothing I could do though about the glare on the glasses.

what an absolutely sweet page of your Mom and I really love the journaling. I don't make a lot of handmade cards but I take the time to look for the right one and I think sometimes she likes the cards better than the gifts , they are cute like that!
adorable kit btw!

It just amazes me what one can do these days through our editing programs. Blending is the most wonderful thing ever, especially when you discover not to be scared of layers. Love this picture of your Mom. I think they like the homemade cards because they are such an extension of "us" ... they reveal our hearts in a way the real "gifts" sometimes can't do. Beautiful work, Sarah.

Sarah sometimes you can use the spot remover tool to help with the glare.I have done it. I love your page and you really did a lot of work on it. Things I would have never thought to do...This is great and your Mom looks very happy...
