"I have spread my dreams beneath your feet. Tread softly, for you tread upon my dreams." Another thing that I've collected over the years is old magazines. Many children's books illustrators got their start by illustrating covers of magazines, back in the early 1900's. This mother and child is by Jessie Wilcox Smith, one of my favorites. It was the cover of the September 1926 issue. I just love the tenderness it portrays.
