About this scrapbook page: |
Me and my family went walking on the ice of a small lake called Flaten on New year's day. It hadn't been snowing during the days when the lake froze so the ice was all see through. Very cool and a bit scary. We had a great day out with warm lemonade and dried fruit as treats:)

The fir trees wave around the house.240 fir trees in madness, waves exceeding the height of the house.45 feet high.I’m particularly vulnerable to “earthsickness”.I seek refuge in your gallery.I put ear plugs to forget the waves of green trees.Your beautiful pages will come to me down but I'll have to stay longer than usual.Your gallery will be illuminated late this night.I’ll come several times.

Wow this is gorgeous. I used to live on a resort lake and what you are describing is called "black ice". It is called that because the lake froze when the water was very still so no air bubbles formed in the ice to make it white. It's very smooth and perfect for ice skating. Love your page.
