About this scrapbook page: |
Before the super markets took over, we shopped in little stores such as this one. Oh I can almost smell that fresh bread! Not a pre-packed product in sight!Everything was weighed out for you. The haberdashery shop has a leather collar box for sale, (I have made a little enlargement). I still have one here, identical to this one, which belonged to my Grandfather, then my Father. It has a little compartment for studs inside too.TOP LEFT and BOTTOM RIGHT photo's are the same shop counter.

Another wonderful memory page, I remember Mum buying peanut butter & sugar & many others, she would take her empty bottles for the peanut butter & believe me it has never been as nice as it was then.
