About this scrapbook page:
The sailor with the highlighted circle around him, was my step grandad, William Samways. My mothers father had died in South Africa in 1929, after which my Grandmother returned to England with her two daughters. She married William Samways, who had been her childhood sweetheart, in 1930.Here he is on the Heliopolis. I have added a little cropped picture of him. Does anyone have a date for when this might have been sailing please? Any information regarding this would be appreciated.
