The old photo is my husband when he was a little boy, his grandfather and his sister. My husband, his brother and sister and mother lived with their grandfather in the mountains of NC for about 18 months while their father was incarcerated. Keith said those were the best memories he had growing up. He had a special bond with his grandfather.

On 1 November, believers and nonbelievers will gather on the graves of family members. The cemeteries are overwhelmed by chrysanthemums, flowers traditionally grown for the occasion. This is not a happy period. This day makes me sad and it is thanks to your pages that I can get out of this period. Your gallery reminds me that the smiles are more important that a calendar. this is such a great picture of Keith. ONe time when Keith picked me up at the airport or maybe took me back while mom was so sick he told me all about his growing up years. I think it was more I had heard from him in 30 years. I'm glad he has some happy memories in there somewhere.
