About this scrapbook page: |
Took this photo back in 94..my mom and aunt took a trip to see their grandparents old home before it was tore down. At one time this home held many. many children..it was vibrant and alive. It held promises yet to keep. This is an exert from my very favorite poem. If you can recite it..you are probably my new best friend. I titled the photo years ago...Promises To Keep

Lovely page and great story to go along with it. I always wonder about empty houses: who lived there? how long has it been empty? why isn't someone living there now? isn't there someone who could bring this house back to life? If I were driving past this house I'd say "Now there's a house with potential!" But that's what I say about them all!

This is beautiful, Sarah. And it's made even more beautiful by the story behind it. I look at old houses and wonder what kinds of things have taken place inside them over the years. Just like with the old photos of people. They have heart.
